Pretty exciting actually. The entire country is celebrating, and Cairo is crazy. The streets are packed with people, in many places cars are unable to move because of all the people on the streets. Cars are honking, people are dancing and yelling...so very exciting! The cars all do this rhythm of honking together "long long shorrt short short" over and over and over... We ended up wathcing the game in the dorms, once again they set out the chairs in rows and pulled in a big screen TV. Funny thing: the game went into overtime and then to penalty kicks and just before the penalty kicks began the TV in the main common room stopped working. Boys scrambled off their chairs and sprinted up the boys stairs to the boys common room and girls sprinted up the stairs to our common room on the first floor, two at a time. It was almost more fun to watch the end with just girls, they were screaming and jumping up and down and chanting and hugging and waving Egpytian flags...so fun.
